Loop (“Loop”, “we”, “us”) provides a digital loyalty-card platform that lets businesses run visit-based loyalty programs and lets their customers keep a loyalty card in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. Who this applies to
Loop serves two groups: business owners who create a loyalty program, and customers who join a business’s program to collect visits and rewards. We describe the data for each below.
Information we collect
From business owners: account details handled by our authentication provider (name and email address), and the business information you enter (business name, optional address, description, logo, your loyalty program details).
From customers: the name and email address you provide when you join a business’s loyalty program, and your visit and reward history with that business.
Automatically: basic technical data needed to run the service securely, such as request information used for rate-limiting and abuse prevention.
How we use information
We use your information to operate the loyalty program: to create and update your wallet card, record visits, issue and redeem rewards, show businesses their own program activity, and keep the service secure. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Service providers we use
We rely on trusted third parties to run Loop, and limited data is shared with them solely to provide the service: authentication (sign-in), database hosting, application hosting, rate limiting, and the Apple Wallet and Google Wallet services that store your loyalty card on your device. These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms and security practices.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account or loyalty membership is active. A business owner can have a customer record removed, and if a business leaves Loop its data may be deleted. You can request deletion of your personal data at any time using the contact email above.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, email us at the address above and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Children
Loop is intended for businesses and their adult customers and is not directed to children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
